FEBRUARY MINUTES, FIRST AID, JESSE MILLER, AND FOODSAFE!

Hi DPAC parents!

Please check out the minutes from our February meeting.

NEED INPUT!  Juniper has requested DPAC help sponsor a First Aid training for volunteers who supervise children at recess.  This is a fantastic idea!  Although the School District says that there must be one employee at every site who has first aid, it's always great to have trained volunteers on the school grounds as well.

We're super conscious that we're already half way through the school year and the second half tends to pass by quickly (March Break, soccer practice starts up, etc etc) but if we can get interest from other schools, DPAC can look into costs for putting on the first aid training, whether we can pick up the whole cost for all parents or perhaps split the costs with PACs, and we can arrange this for the very beginning of next school year .

What do you think?  Would there be interest from your school's parents?  (NB:  These parents don't necessarily have to sit on your PAC, they may just be dedicated volunteers who always help out with lunch monitor/recess supervision duties!).

Let us know!

PS:  THERE ARE ONLY 20 SPOTS LEFT FOR THE JESSE MILLER PRESENTATION!  (We have 150 people signed up!!).  Still need a FREE ticket?  Let me know asap!

PPS:  FOODSAFE!!!  Unless we get another 10 people signed up for the April 23rd FoodSafe event, we have to CANCEL it.  We're putting on this because parents have asked for it...so please sign up!  We're covering the $80 cost for 1-2 people/school to attend.  Email DPAC to sign up before the last week of March or we will unfortunately be forced to cancel.  Thanks!
