Here are the minutes of our January DPAC General Meeting.
Hello to the new people receiving this email! I'm Erin, your DPAC Secretary (at least for the next few months until the AGM!). I've just received a list of PAC Chairs from the SD Office, so some of you are hearing from me for the very first time. Unfortunately, I have not received an updated list of DPAC Reps from PACs, so for now, if you are receiving this in error, please let me know.
Please be careful in printing the attached document...It is more than 50 pages long, as it contains the facilities report from Art McDonald.
Chris Ponti is chairing our DPAC Committee to advocate for capital projects...can you help? If so, please let Chris know (or me, and I'll pass your email along). We are hoping to have a demonstration in support of capital project funding for our SD73 on the February pro-D day. Stay tuned. Chris is also headed to Radio NL this week to talk about our District needs (more space! more funds for school improvement projects!) and would love to come and talk to your PAC about the district's capital funding needs and how we as parents can help advocate for funds.
Our DPAC General meetings are always the third Tuesday of the month at 7pm at the Henry Grube Education Centre. There is a conference call option for those who want to participate from out of town. That number is forwarded before the meeting (usually the day before).
Next DPAC General meeting is therefore February 19th at 7pm at the Henry Grube Education Centre. Please note, there is no meeting in March due to March Break. April will be our AGM and election for the new DPAC Executive. Positions available for election are Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and Members at Large (several).
